World of Warcraft

Role-Playing — pcgamereader @ February 26, 2006

People say that first impressions are everything, but World of Warcraft is an exception to this rule!

I didn’t think that I was going to like WoW when my friend gave me a trial cd-key. I had looked at pictures that weren’t very inspiring, and my expectations for the game were pretty low. Those expectations were shattered the minute I started my character. There he was, running around, using spells, questing, and interacting with other people. I became immediately hooked on the game, no question about it. I suggest that if you want to try this game, see if you know someone who bought the game and has a trial cd-key that they can give you. Either that, or see if you can start a new character on your friend’s account at their house to get the feel of the game. It will definately be worth the time you spend getting adjusted to the game.

“This is the best game of its type and is easy for newcomers too. Dive into World of Warcraft” -Gamesradar

Need for Speed Most Wanted

Racing — pcgamereader @ February 26, 2006

This game is worth every cent. The graphics, sound and game play are excellent. The cut scenes are fun to watch. Just wish they were more (that would make EA spent more money I guess). This game is totally better than NFS Underground 2 which I liked but not as much as this one. The menu is different and attractive.

Out running the police is fantastic. You can total their vehicles by hitting them or objects that would make them crash. If they are too many of them, you may need to get to a hide out. Anything to get away. This is the beauty of this game.

The game is the same as others, beat the other drivers. When you begin the game you would have a nice BMW but don’t get used to it because you would not have it long. You have to win races that would make you move up the blacklist (15 in all) in order to take out the guy that sabotage your ride, whom you first competed against. He is the one that took your ride but no need to worry, you will be taking other people vehicles too when you win races.

There is nothing more to be said about this game but play it.

Indigo Prophecy

Adventure — pcgamereader @ February 26, 2006

Indigo Prophecy takes the cinematic value of games to a new level.

Indego Prophecy has a entriguing story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. The game starts with a scene of the main character, Lukas Kane, murdering a man in cold blood. Gameplay starts with no explinations of anything, not even history on Lukas himself. The object of the game is to follow the clues to unwrap an ancient prophecy about the end of the world. one of the most entriguing gameplay features is that you not only control Lukas, who is traveling on one path, but you also control two new york city detectives. All three characters have extremly evolved back stories. Another unique feature of Indego Prophecy is how every action and decision you make effects how much you are informed about the story and how the story itself plays out. To conclude, Indigo Prophecy has not only an amazing story but intriguing gameplay features as well.

About this game

In Indigo Prophecy, a paranormal thriller, New York City is stunned by a series of mysterious murders, all following the same pattern: ordinary people are killing absolute strangers in public areas. Lucas Kane becomes another one of these murderers when he suddenly kills a stranger in a men’s bathroom. Covered in blood, Lucas regains consciousness with no recollection as to why he committed murder. Lucas must solve the mystery before being incarcerated for life.

“If it was a book you’d call it “a real page-turner”; it can be nigh-impossible at points to put down.” -1UP

A free-flowing game during which players can assume the role of multiple characters and experience the game from multiple viewpoints, Indigo Prophecy allows players’ actions to affect the plot by offering a scenario driven interactive experience. Through motion picture techniques, players find themselves intimately immersed in the game.

F.E.A.R.

Action Games — pcgamereader @ February 25, 2006

I played the game for half and hour and I got really bored, I was basically walking around looking for something to shoot. And I reckon this game is so weird. So I returned it and got my money back………..I don’t know why people think this game is so good, it doesn’t make any sense. Where the hell did the ‘evil ghost thing’ come from and why did it take over that guy’s body????? This game is so over-rated and it takes up so much room on your hard drive. The guy that worked at the game store recommended it to me and said “This is one of the best games i’ve ever played….

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) is an intense combat experience with rich atmosphere and an engaging story.

The story begins as an unidentified paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in special forces, but loses contact as an eerie signal interrupts radio communications. When the interference subsides moments later, the team has been obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart before they can even react.

“F.E.A.R. has by far the best tactical combat I have ever experienced, and has super-high production values throughout.” -Avault

As part of a classified strike team created to deal with threats no one else can handle, your mission is simple: Eliminate the intruders at any cost. Determine the origin of the signal. And contain this crisis before it spirals out of control.
